parking instructions

Parking during the week and on weekends (non-event days):

General parking will be inside The Museum SFV gates at 18904 Nordhoff St.  Two entrances.  

NOTE: Please provide ample notification with your vehicle indicators as there can be a fair amount of traffic on Nordhoff St.  Please use indicator several hundred feet before turning right into the gate. The Museum SFV does not encourage any visitors to make a left hand, south turn into The Museum SFV, unless there is not any traffic on the street.

Nordhoff St. - Main gate:   

Enter through the main gate and proceed either to two parking spaces to the right of driveway; two spaces in front of the museum building straight ahead, due south.  There is parking in between the palm tree area.  ADA parking, one space, is in front of the main entrance on asphalt.

Wilbur Ave. - Secondary gate

The Wilbur Ave. gate is on the east side of The Museum SFV grounds. 

NOTE:  Also, some vehicles will come around the corner on Wilbur Ave. pretty quickly, so turn into the east parking gate without hesitation.  Visitors traveling from the east may make a left hand turn at the corner of Nordhoff St. and Wilbur Ave,  (there is a signal at this intersection) and can head south approximately 150 feet and enter the East Wilbur gate.

Parking during the week and on weekends (event days):

On event days, there will not be any parking inside the main museum area.

Parking will be either across the street, at the Spanish-style office building, due east of The Museum SFV, located at 18860 Nordhoff St. There is parking in the rear of the building, on the south side.   Please walk up to Nordhoff St. and use the signal and crosswalk to walk across Wilbur Ave., head west and enter through main gate on Nordhoff St.

At times, some visitors may cross the street and head into main Rancho Cordillera del Norte gate. You can do so, but please be careful to watch for oncoming traffic.

Special event parking inside  Rancho Cordillera del Norte:

The Rancho Cordillera del Norte main gate is located at 9015 Wilbur Ave.  Visitors can walk through these gates, and on select days, with advance notice of special event, you can park inside The Rancho and would be directed on where to park.

ADA parking:

There is one (1) ADA parking space right in front of The Museum SFV entrance.  If this space is taken, visitors with ADA pass, may park inside The Rancho Cordillera del Norte main gate is located at 9015 Wilbur Ave.

There are marked ADA parking spaces inside of the main gate.  If these are full, on event days, parking will be allowed in second parking section, near The Theatre in marked spaces.
